Description

We are looking for an engaged counselor for Kyrkback School in Kopparberg. The school is a F-9 school with about 350 students.

Responsibilities

As a counselor, you will be a central part of the school's student health team and an important driving force in the ongoing development work. You will work both health-promoting, preventive, and remedial to create good learning environments and to strengthen students' social and emotional development. The role involves close collaboration with students, guardians, educators, and other staff. There are good opportunities to influence and shape student health work, as well as continuous support through contact with other parts of student health. In our student health team, which you will be a part of, work: principal, deputy principals, special educators, school nurse, special teachers, and social pedagogues.

Qualifications

We are looking for a counselor who has a strong commitment and who always actively works for all students to succeed and feel good. You need to be flexible, have an easy time collaborating, and have a genuine interest in the student. To succeed in the role of counselor, you need to build trust with the students, which means you need to be stable and secure as a person. You also need to be communicative and have a good ability to conduct structured and motivating conversations with the students.

You have a degree in social work or equivalent education. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with children and youth.
